![]() For Super Mario 64, Mario will walk but not fast he will only walk slow even though I'm pushing the joystick all the way forward. Also when I set up my controller everything works fine but the analog joystick. I want an emulator which can use the 4MB memory expansion, but I don't really know even if my current emulator uses it. I'm currently using Project 64 version 1.6 and is this a good emulator used for playing and hacking games?Ģ. Last edited on 03:23:20 AM by mogwaimon Kazeshinġ. You might have to manipulate those? I think it'd be the deadzone, but again not an expert.ĮDIT: As an aside, surprised you still have one of those things that works, back in the day we were always wearing our analog sticks out to the point of uselessness, haha. I'm not a tech wiz in regards to the N64, but I presume it had 4 MB of RAM originally and the expansion cart adds 4 MB, so yea.Īs for the analog stick.I use a different controller so I never had any issues but if I remember correctly, your issue is likely with the deadzone settings or the range. You can get to it by opening PJ64, go to Options toolbar, Settings, Advanced tab, and set Default Memory Size to 8 MB. There's a special option you can set in PJ64 1.6 that many SM64 hacks actually require that increases the RAM limit (I think this is the same function as the old expansion cart?) Can't I just make a like 8MB memory expansion card and have games run on that? Is there a limit on how much extra memory you can cram into a N-64 machine? Is there anyway to make (hardware wise) a memory expansion that is bigger than 4MB. What gives?!?!?!Īnd I had a special question too. Help?Īlso when I set up my controller everything works fine but the analog joystick. I'm currently using Project 64 version 1.6 and is this a good emulator used for playing and hacking games? I did this because I really wanted to play N-64 games such as Super Mario 64 with my original N-64 controller. Okay, so I finally finally went on the net and bought one of those N-64 to USB devices.
